The new Yolo Superior Courthouse replaced the one built in 1917, and boasts 14 courtrooms on five floors. The building is a beautiful addition to downtown Woodland. The interior of the courtrooms consists of FSC cherry panels, judge and jury boxes. The stone base trim is a nice accent to the courtrooms. The Council desks were also built by NWD. Once in place, Fisher Tile & Marble installed the stone countertops. The new courthouse allows many of the local agencies to coexist under one roof.
