Project Details
The REACH project at the San Francisco International Airport has landed. The project is located in the International Terminal at Concourses A and G.
The brass, found on the custom hydration stations and planter boxes, is a highlight of the REACH project. However, this brass presented its own set of challenges for NWD. Therefore, metal fabricator Elliott Specialty Metal was called upon to assist with the project. The metal fabricator was able to complete the backsplashes and toe kicks on the hydration stations by successfully bending the brass pieces to perfection. The brass and white corian on the hydration stations go together beautifully, adding character to the airport decor.
The planter boxes spread throughout the two concourses inside the international terminal feature brass and fluted corian. A stainless steel liner houses the potted plants lining the walkways. These plants, surrounded by tables and chairs, offer guests a place to relax.
In addition, the vestibule entrance to the outdoor terrace provides added space for travelers to enjoy. This outdoor patio offers even more seating options, with views of the skyline in the distance.
